Our LEGACY

70802 is a multigenerational community with special contributions to the fabric of Baton Rouge. With families starting and ending here and legacies yet imagined,  we continue to honor the past while shaping a sustainable future for our community.

70802 history

The Bogan Walk, Easy Town, Eden Park, and Greenville Extension neighborhoods have a rich history grounded in decades of families calling the area home. Located north of Mid-City, these communities are home to the historic Capitol High School and the brand-new Park Elementary School, and they are close to Memorial Stadium, the Governor’s Mansion and Capitol Complex, and Baton Rouge General Mid-City.

At the same time, historic underinvestment in the area has led to a lack of critical infrastructure and significant health and wealth disparities. EnvisioNBR believes strong and stable neighborhoods widen the pathways to prosperity for all and strives to amplify these neighborhoods' rich history and promising future.

Envisionbr's vision

At EnvisioNBR, we envision a future where the 70802 community thrives as a vibrant hub of opportunity, driven by redevelopment initiatives and investment in North Baton Rouge. We are committed to transforming areas impacted by blight through effective management strategies, fostering environments where residents feel empowered and valued. Building on the rich history of neighborhoods like Bogan Walk, Easy Town, Eden Park, and Greenville Extension, we aim to create pathways to prosperity that encompass economic growth, educational excellence, and holistic well-being. Our vision is to amplify the voices of residents, ensuring their needs guide our efforts, and to restore pride in a community where families can flourish and lasting legacies are established.
